The territory of Nunavut, in Canada's arctic which was created in 1999 has had two elections in its short history:

Nunavut was created as part of a long process that originated with the Canadian government’s decision in the early 1970s to negotiate settlements with aboriginal groups that file land claims.
Nunavut is in the northeastern part of Canada; Greenland is to the east of it and the Northwest Territories to the west.
With the signing of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act in 1993 and the establishment of the Nunavut government in 1999, the management of Nunavut’s environment and wildlife is co-managed with the federal government.
