Lester Holt (born March 8, 1959 in California) is a popular news broadcaster in the United States, beginning as a local Chicago news anchor and presently is the host of NBC's "Weekend Today" seen on saturday and Sunday mornings on most NBC stations and affiliates, and is the weekend anchor of "NBC Nightly News." In 1986, Holt began working with WBBM-TV in Chicago where he spent 14 years anchoring the evening news.
