Lawrenceville is a city located in Lawrence County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,745. It is the county seat of Lawrence County6. Lawrenceville is located in southeast Illinois, northwest of Vincennes, Indiana. The city was home to a Texaco oil refinery, and manufactures oil well equipment.
