Langdon is a city located in Cavalier County, North Dakota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,101. It is the county seat of Cavalier County6. The mascot of Langdon High School is the Cardinal.

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,101 people, 917 households, and 565 families residing in the city. The population density is 477.2/km˛ (1,233.1/mi˛). There are 1,178 housing units at an average density of 267.5/km˛ (691.4/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 98.57% White, 0.14% African American, 0.29% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 917 households out of which 26.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.4% are married couples living together, 5.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.3% are non-families. 36.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
