Benton County, Washington - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (555 words)
Benton County is a county located in the south central of the state of Washington.
Although all county offices are in Prosser, the vast majority of county officials reside in either Kennewick or Richland.
This situation could easily be remedied by making Kennekick the county seat; however, Prosser residents object every time the issue is brought to the ballot, claiming that the relocation of the county seat would cripple the economy of the town.
