John Ricci replaced Tom Guay shortly after the release of Soul-Crusher, only to quit in 1989 after the release of their second LP Make Them Die Slowly.
He was soon replaced by John Tempesta who had previously played for Exodus and Testament.
John Tempesta continued his musical relationship with Rob Zombie after the White Zombie breakup, drumming for Zombie on his first two solo albums, Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge.

Former Powerman 5000 guitarist Mike Tempesta (M.33) is rumored to have joined Nine Inch Nails as the group's touring guitarist, reports Blabbermouth.net.
Tempesta, who is the brother of veteran hard rock/metal drummer John Tempesta (Helmet, ex-Rob Zombie, Testament, Exodus), was conspicuously absent from Powerman 5000's last two live shows, prompting speculation from the band's fans that he had left the group.
Jerome Dillon is still the live drummer, and John Tempesta ISN'T part of the new NIN line-up.
