James Charles Slattery, born in Atchison, Kansas in 1948, is an American politician. Slattery earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Washburn University School of Law in 1974. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 19831995 in the Kansas delegation. Prior to his election to the Congress, Slattery served in the Kansas House of Representatives, as a reserve Army officer and founded a successful real estate company.
