The Irish Tenors is a musical group comprised of three tenors: Anthony Kearns, Finbar Wright, and Karl Scully. Karl Scully replaced Ronan Tynan to become the group's newest member. The Irish Tenors are also known for their many PBS television specials. In 1999, The Irish Tenors performed, Live From Belfast at Waterfront Hall, which was recorded and broadcast on PBS in the United States.[2] John McDermott, one of the original Irish Tenors, made a guest appearance at this concert.[2] Another such special was The Irish Tenors Ellis Island, recorded for PBS[3] and named to Billboard's top 10 "Best of" for 2001.[citation needed] Not to be confused with Public Broadcasting Services in Malta. ... In 2005, Kearns, Scully, and Wright filmed a ten-part series for Ireland's RTE Network[4] entitled The Irish Tenors & Friends. Friends performing on the television special with The Irish Tenors include Lord Andrew Lloyd Weber, Paul Carrick, Finbar Furey, Hayley Westenra, Shayne Ward, Sharon Shannon, Peter Grant, Rebecca Storm, Lucia Evans, and Paul Byrom.
