The Idaho House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Idaho State Legislature. It consists of 70 representatives elected to two-year terms [1] and meets at the Idaho State Capitol in Boise, Idaho. The 59th Legislature currently sits with 68 representatives, with two seats left vacant by former Representatives Bill Deal of the 13th District and Shirley McKague of the 20th District, both of whom were re-elected at the 2006 general elections. Deal was appointed director of the state Department of Insurance and McKague was appointed to the 20th District state Senate seat vacated after the resignation of state Senator Gerry Sweet [2].
