Hellhounds are a breed of demon footsoldiers of dog-like features bred during the Makhash Wars. Four Hellhounds were summoned by Tucker Wells, older brother of Andrew Wells and a Sunnydale high school student after being rejected by a possible Prom date. Tucker raised and trained four of these doglike demons to attack, kill and eat the brain of anyone dressed in typical formal wear, using videos of Carrie and Pretty in Pink to get them to recognise Prom clothes. Hellhounds are covered in brown fur, have short tails and yellow eyes. They also walk on four legs.
