Hart Memorial Trophy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (286 words)
The Hart Memorial Trophy is presented annually to the ice hockey player who is most valuable to his team in the National Hockey League during the regular season.
Hart was the father of Cecil Hart, a former coach and manager of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team.
When the original trophy was retired to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1960, the NHL began presenting the Hart Memorial Trophy in its place.
