Hacklebarney State Park is state park of the U.S. state of New Jersey, located between Long Valley and Chester in Morris County. The park contains 977 acres of land in a glacial valley carved by the Black River and its tributaries, the Rinehart and Trout Brook. The woodlands feature hemlock and other oak hardwoods, rare plants such as Virginia pennywort and leatherwood and endangered species wood turtle, Cooper's hawk and barred owl, over 100 species of birds altogether.[1] State park is a term used in the United States and in Mexico for an area of land preserved on account of its natural beauty, historic interest, recreation, or other reason, and under the administration of the government of a U.S. state or one of the states of Mexico. ... Cheesequake State Park is state park of the U.S. state of New Jersey, located near Matawan, New Jersey.
The park is situated in the salt marshes and tidal estuary of Cheesequake Creek near its mouth on Raritan Bay, as well as in the surrounded hills overlooking the estuary.
