Gwinn Henry was the head football coach of the University of Missouri from 1923 to 1931. During his tenure, he compiled a 40-28-9(.578) record. Taking away his cellar-dweller years in 1923, 1930, and 1931, where he went 2-3-3, 2-5-2, and 2-8-0 respectively, he could be considered one of the best coaches in Big Twelve history. He holds another distinction, as being one of two coaches to play a football game on Christmas. On December 25, 1924, USC defeated Missouri 20-7.
