Frank McHugh came from a theatrical family. He parants ran a stock company and as a young child he performed on stage. His brother Matt and sister Kitty performed an act with him by te time he was ten years old. He debuted on Broadway in "The Fall Guy" in 1925. McHugh played everything from lead actor to sidekick and would often provide comedy relief. He appeared in over one hundred and fifty films and television productions. He worked wit almost every star at Warners. By the 1950's his film career began to slow. From 1964 to 1965 he played the role of Willis Walter on "The Bing Crosby Show."
