Austin Powers (Mike Myers), having conquered the '90s and the '60s, travels back to the 1970s and teams up with his arch-nemesis Dr. Evil (also played by Myers) to thwart a new villain, Goldmember (Myers once again). Myers also plays Fat Bastard for the second time, this time parodying the kind of "wire fight" seen in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The film also stars Beyoncé Knowles as Foxxy Cleopatra (parodying a blaxploitation movie heroine), Michael York reprising the role of Basil Exposition, Verne Troyer in his second appearance as Mini-Me, and Michael Caine as Austin's father Nigel Powers (compare the appearance of Indiana Jones's father in his third movie). Foxxy Cleopatra, who, it turns out, is one of the maestro's many on-again-off-again girlfriends.
By the time Foxxy's performance is over, it's been so cut up by the camera's love for Himself, that she's looking slightly less fine, and lots more pushed off to the side of the scene.
This is one reason why the injection of blaxploitation princess Foxxy Cleopatra seemed like a good idea, cultural territory that Austin and Company had not slashed and burned already.
CNN.com - Beyonce Knowles: 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' - July 26, 2002 (592 words)
Reunited after eight years (He stood her up, with no call!) with the British secret agent (His excuse: He was cryogenically frozen), Foxxy time-travels to stomp out conspirators Dr. Evil and Goldmember.
Foxxy wears several pieces that bear her signature logo (a fox head and tail).
In this photo Foxxy wears a custom-made 14kt-gold bead necklace with waist-grazing fringe that was inspired by an African necklace, a single gold-wire four-inch hoop earring and leather platform sandals with her Foxxy logo inlaid in the heel.
