2006-07 season

The opening of the resort for the 2006-07 ski season has been delayed by a number of factors, including an order by the provincial Director of Fair Trading requiring a halt to the sale of season passes and the closure of the resort's access road to the public.[1]

Management of the resort announced its limited opening in February 2007 via its website, including the operation of one or two ski lifts and access to a limited amount of the area's terrain. It is now March 9, 2007 and unfortunately there have been no further progress updates for the opening of Fortress Mountain.
