Encyclopedia > Forensic database

A forensic database is a general term but would usually pertain to a set of information contained within a database that would be useful in a Forensic study. For instance in Computer Forensics a database of checksums such as that provided by NIST would be a Forensic Database. This is different from the concept of Database Forensics which is the study of Databases themselves in a forensic mannner.
