The Raw and the Cooked (1989)

Fine Young Cannibals were an English band best known for its 1989 hits "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing". Formed in Birmingham, England, by vocalist Roland Gift and former The Beat members David Steele and Andy Cox. The group was formed in 1984 in Birmingham, UK, out of the ashes of The Beat, with whom Cox and Steele previously played. The Beat, known in the United States as The English Beat, was an essential Two Tone ska and pop music group. ...

Fine Young Cannibals broke up in 1992, before briefly returning to the studio in 1996 to record a new single The Flame which would complement their Greatest Hits compilation released that year. Gift soon reactivated the band and toured in the 2000s as Roland Gift and the Fine Young Cannibals. Fine Young Cannibals appeared as the house band in the 1987 comedy Tin Men. Fine Young Cannibals was an English band best known for their 1989 hits "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing".
The group was formed in 1984 and broke up in 1992, though they briefly returned to the studio in 1996 to record a new single The Flame which would complement their Greatest Hits compilation to be released in the autumn of that year.

While watching the contest among the presidential candidates in the Democratic Party primaries, I was reminded of a campus political rally I witnessed as a college student during the 1988 presidential election.
Yet that is precisely what the Democrats are attempting to put over: to present the American public with the equivalent of a "fine young cannibal" as their candidate for president.
While Edwards's sunny disposition is calculated to put a nice face on the class-warfare cannibalism of his economic agenda, Kerry's appearance is meant to cover up the most important feature of his campaign—and the one issue on which the Democrats most need the protective façade of a gravely serious demeanor: an agenda of foreign-policy surrender.
