"Fear of the Dark" is a song written by Steve Harris, bass player and main songwriter for Iron Maiden, as the title track to Iron Maiden's 1992 album Fear of the Dark. The song is said to be about Harris' childhood fear of the dark. Numbers from the Beast version

An all-star version of the song appears on the tribute album Numbers from the Beast, and features Chuck Billy on vocals, Craig Goldy on guitars, Rickie Phillips on bass, and Mikkey Dee on drums. This version follows Harris' original composition, but differs in terms of guitar solos. Billy also departs slightly from the original vocal melody, and also adds a dark edge by performing the song in a style more reliant on growls.
