El Sobrante is also home to a sizeable Sikh population, which in recent years has begun to establish a community of its own with many shops and speciality stores. Perhaps the most prominent example is the Gurdwara Sahib temple (known for its large golden dome) which looms above the valley above San Pablo Dam Road.
