Get Ready to ROCK! Review of CD album by metal rock band Ektomorf called Instinct (499 words)
From what I've just said, you understand that the main question that occurs is whether the members of Ektomorf have managed to present us with something more "advanced" this time round.
Ektomorf's lyrics are as "angry" as always, with highlights being the ones in "Fu*k You All" and "United Nations" (I sincerely hope that they will not get into any problems for this!).
These lyrics are the driving power of this band, and I guess that you will be right in assuming that they are considered to be equally important as the music.

With the attitude and the rhythms of their heavy shredding, there are tons of Sepultura influences to be found, and Ektomorf do it carefully and it does not feel like they are trying to copy, it is instead as they are doing it with a small variation to the style.
Ektomorf is building their music on driving drum rhythms, and that's where I find comparisons with Slipknot as well as with some of the vocal melodies, for example with the track Burn where the vocals are going with a melody-line that isn't far from Slipknot when they are at their more melodic side.
To be mean, it could be said that Ektomorf are replicas of Sepultura, but that would be to make it to easy and not really fair either.
