Prologue and overview

The story is set in a strange world where two floating cities called Yulgaha and Yanuess slowly circle the globe. The people on the ground named these cities Ëdens, and the cities control all the land. A boy, Yorn (voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi), was born on Yulgaha, but in his infancy, he was separated from his mother and brought to live on the planet's surface. Although the foster father that raised him was poor, Yorn grew into a bright, chipper young man. Kappei Yamaguchi (山口勝平 Yamaguchi Kappei, born May 23, 1965) is a Japanese voice actor (seiyÅ«) who has voiced characters in anime, audio dramas, and video games. ...

The End of Yorn's old life

One day, Yorn is attacked by Hairra, a woman who is later revealed to be a puppet from Yulgaha, attacks Yorn while he is sharpening his sword. When she breaks his sword and attempts to kill him, his father sacrifices himself to save Yorn. Hairra procceeds to incapacitate Yorn, but is prevented from killing him by the arrival of a mysterious young girl. The girl picks up the hilt of Yorn's sword and magically reforms the sword into the sword of the God hunter. Hairra attempts to kill her, but she transforms into a young woman armed with a staff (which she uses in a magical attack)and fights back. During this battle, Yorn's powers as a God-Hunter are awakend by the sword and he enters the battle. Using a massive energy blast emanating from the sword, he drives off Hairra and her brother. During the interim, the mysterious girl disappears.

The begining of Yorn's journey and a chance meeting

While burying his father, an old warrior comes by and tells him to acompany him. He tells Yorn that, contrary to what he has been told, his mother is alive and well, and is waiting for him in the town of Rubeet. In addition, the man who raised him was not actually his father. After some persuasion, Yorn agrees, and by morning the set out. They run into trouble shortly however, as a oaisis pool Yorn jumps into turns out to be guarded by the Chosen of Yulgaha. The old warrior runs away to bide his time (though Yorn thinks he is chickening out) and Yorn is bound and placed in a tent under guard for defiling the spring. Later, another person is thrown in, the mysterious girl. Yorn had already seen the girl at the market place in Coacassa, his hometown, and had fallen for her. He now tries to make conversation with her, which mostly results in her getting embarassed and him not getting any response and being embarassed. An attempt to chew through the ropes binding them gives pretty much the same results, with the addition of them being in a rather awkward physical position after he trips and crashes into her. They are later given food and water, which the girl gives to Yorn, who consumes all of it in between talking to her.

Yorn begins to learn the truth

It turns out that these Chosen of Yulgaha were desert nomads for generations, but they gave up the nomad way of life and now watch the spring in return for the privilige of traveling up to Yulgaha. The nomad chief ofers the two of them the chance to live with them, but Yorn refuses, thinking of his mother. During the night they are attacked by Weto (Hairra's brother), Hairra and two puppets. Yorn and the girl run, but the girl runs off and returns to the tent. It turns out that the pendant she wears and accidentally left behind is what grants her the power to transform. Desiring to protect yorn, she uses it and runs to where the fight seems to be taking place. The old man prtoects Yorn initially, but then the young woman intervenes, using magic to blow the two puppets up. Weto and Hairra escape, and in the aftemath of the fight, the woman introduces herself as Seeda. When Yorn asks if she's seen a young girl, she says no, but he'll seen her again veryn soon. She walks into the trees, and a few seconds latter the young girl emerges from the trees some distance away. yorn tries to impress her, during which the old man interupts him, saying they need to get going towards Rubeet. Yorn initialy refuses, but when the girl starts walking off he follows her. The old man joins with them, and the trio set off.

The white leopard

Later they come to a village which has been under attack by a white leopard. The villagers mistake Yorn for a hunter they hired to kill the leopard who had vanished, but realize their mistake. Upon hearing about the white leopard, the mysterious girl looks visibly startled. They are given food and eat outside the village hall, where the leaders are debating what to do about the leopard. It turns out these people are more of the Chosen of Yulgaha, only they are guardians of the forest. Upon overhearing their conversation, Yorn says that he'll kill the white leopard, a thought which seems truly mortifying to the mysterious girl. Later, they watch a dance which tells the tale of the God Hunter. The girl seems truly shaken by this tale., and as the tale's end is told through the dance and the gods fall, she slumps to the ground and closes her eyes. Soon, she wanders off into the forest, and when it is realized she has gone missing, a search party is formed. Yorn, the old man and some of the villagers go into the forest and search for her. They find her caught in a net they had set to catch the leopard. This rather humorous scene is interupted by the screams of some of the villagers as they are attacked by the white leopard.

Who the girl is and her relation to the leopard

The leopard attempts to kill the village chief, but the old man fends it off. It then finds the girl and Yorn. Yorn and the girl seem unable to move as the leopard stares at them, growing. The sight of it seems to have an astonishing effect on the girl. When it runs off, she follows it. Yorn tries to stop her but is so weak he can't even stand at first. He searches for her, findinh her when he hears her voice. she appears to be talking to someone, and introduces herself to this unkown person as Elisiss. When Yorn sees Elisiss, he finds that she is facing the leopard. He runs between the two, but Elisiss interposes herself between him and the leopard. Shortly thereafter, someone who resembles Yorn attacks them. He aims for the leopard, and does not stop when Elisiss throws herself in the way. Yorn blocks his attack, and the stranger pushes against Yorn while their blades are locked, throwing Yorn's sword and knocking him down. He sheathes his blade and intorduces himself as Spinke Randit, another God Hunter. Yorn cannot believe the he himself is a god hunter, and while brooding over this Elisiss licks his wound, which then heals. This is witnessed by the old man, and after some good-natured teasing, the three set out. Elisiss tells them the leopard is gone and will not be seen there again (the leopard turns out to be her sister, who she talked to). So the three set out again the next morning for Rubeet. In his trip, he is often confronted by two robotic men, Goldo and Vilogg. They are sent by Miss Nyako, (Nyako Mikenika) a power-hungry catgirl, who is the dictator of Yanuess, a robotic town. More happens, and it is long before he sees his mother, and then it is not in Rubeet It has been suggested that Kemonomimi be merged into this article or section. ...

Yorn, the main protagonist, is a god hunter, one with the power to kill gods. He lived as a farm boy until Hairra and Weto's attack. When he first saw Elisiss in the market, he fell for her. He doesn't fight too much, mostly because the old man won't let him. This irritates Yorn to no end. He wants tom meet his mother, but above all he wants to protect Elisiss and spend the rest of his life with her. There is a certain irony to this, for reasons that will be explained. He initially admires Yulgaha and wants to go up to it, and it takes a great deal to prove to him how evil they truly are. He and Spike Randit do not get along, as Spike feels that there can only be one God Hunter, a view not shared by Yorn. Yorn feels that just because he is a God Hunter, that does not mean that he will be forced to kill Elisiss. He seems to be symbolized by a white lily.

Elisiss is a mysterious young girl who showed up out of nowhere one day. Indeed, she almost never talks about her past. She is fond of Yorn, and comes to love him. She protects Yorn and would do so no matter what. She also seems to be symbolized by a white lily (indeed, the second episode is titled "white flowers of Coacassa"), which she was given when she and Yorn first saw each other in the market. She is able to use powerful magic, especially when she transforms into Seeda. When she was in her normal form, she used her magic to fix Yorn's broken sword and transformed it into the sword of the God Hunter. As Seeda, she is not only a powerful mage but can also use her staff as a pole arm. That she and yorn love each other is quite ironic, as Elisiss is actually a God herself. Yorn accepts this when he learns it. His reaction to learning she and Seeda are one and the same, on the other hand, is rather different. He found hard to reconcile initially, but he accepted it in the end. The pendant she wears on her neck is what enables her to transform into Seeda. She also has a third form, which is her true form. In this form she gains white wings. She uses it at least twice, once to follow Yorn and once to save him. As Seeda, she is very up front and buisness like, and at times eems to enjoy combat. As Elisiss, she is a much more gentle individual and is much quieter. It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Magi. ...
