Dream Team was a British television series produced by Hewland International and aired on Sky One and Sky Three, that chronicles the on-field and off-field affairs of the fictional Harchester United F.C.. Despite the show no longer being on tv, the story continues online at www.harchester.tv, although some sad people seem to keep deleting the link as they think their website is better, but don't let people have a choice of seeing the different website and therefore chosing which is in their opinion the better one. Season 2006/2007

The final season came to a head at Harchester United as the gates at the Dragon's Lair, the home of fictional Premiership football team Harchester United, open for one last time. The future of the team was uncertain, despite winning the FA Cup last season. Liam MacKay was unable to play football again after fighting a lifetime ban. With Ashleigh King being revealed as Casper Rose's murderer, his brother Eugene never found out that it was his other brother - Alex Dempsey - who killed him The FA Premier League (often referred to as the Barclays English Premier League for sponsorship reasons) comprises the top 20 football clubs in the league system of English football. ... A new arrival took charge at the club as Jimmy Craig became manager, and brought his 18 year old daughter, Gemma, with him.

Jason Porter, who has been a life-long fan and season ticket holder, was now on the pitch trying to take Harchester to the top.

The main story of the season was the ongoing "Dragonslayer" problem. This was the work of Danny Sullivan (Danny Husbands) as he knew that he would not receive a player's medal if the club won the Premier League, as he had only played nine games, and would not play another because of injury. Instead he is signed up as a coach, and through this position he goes on to destroy the teams chances of winning the league, eventually burning down the stadium in the last episode. The original FA Premier League logo, used until 2007 The Premier League (officially known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons, colloquially known as The Premiership), is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top echelon of the English football league system (above The Football League). ...

After it was announced that the show was ending for good with season 10, the series had lost many influential characters, including Alex Dempsey, Lynda Block, Ryan Naysmith and Ashleigh King.

Season 10 concluded with a last attempt to win the Premiership title. Danny Sullivan sets fires to the changing rooms and boardroom. As the boardroom burns, Harchester United win the Premiership after Jason Porter scores the winning goal.

Main article: Karl Fletcher

Arguably the most famous character in Dream Team was Karl Fletcher (played by Terry Kiely), who became the series' stalwart character, remaining a fixture in the cast from the beginning of season 1 through to the end of season 8. Differences to the real world

  • In 1999, Manchester United won a historic treble, winning the Premier League, F.A. Cup & Champions League. In the show, this never occurred as Harchester defeated Manchester United in the F.A. Cup Final.
  • In 2005, West Ham United won promotion to the Premiership by defeating Preston North End in the Championship play-off final, however, in the show, this was seen as Harchester beating The Hammers (using footage from the previous year's play-off final when West Ham had lost to Crystal Palace).
  • In 2006 Liverpool won the F.A. Cup, beating West Ham United in the final, and Manchester United won the League Cup, beating Wigan Athletic in the final. In the show Harchester won the F.A. Cup after beating Arsenal, having been runners-up to Chelsea in the League Cup final earlier that season.
  • In the spin-off series, Dream Team 80's, Harchester United won the first division trophy in 1985/86 season. In real life, Liverpool won the League and completed a League and cup double (which did not happen in the world of Dream Team).
  • The Dragon's Lair, home of Harchester United, is in fact the New Den, home of Millwall Football Club.
  • In 2007, Harchester won the Premier League with the last kick of the game. In the real world, Manchester United won the League a few weeks before the end of the season.
