He was elected to Simpsonville City Council in 1992, and became Mayor Pro-Tempore in 1994. He was elected Mayor in 1995.


Background: Mayor Dennis C. Waldrop was born in Greenville County and has been a resident of Simpsonville since 1977. He received his education at Parker High School, Greenville Technical College, and Furman University.


Mayor Waldrop is President of Waldrop Company, a local construction and real estate business.
