Service menu

Using the Service Menu incorrectly could leave your monitor in a nonfunctional state and will not be covered by the Dell warranty. Dell provides factory technicians access to a hidden service menu providing more advanced information and settings, such as the full model number, monitor chip-set, total time used and advanced color options. This menu can be accessed as follows:

  1. Powering off your screen
  2. Holding down MENU and + buttons while powering it on
  3. Release those buttons and enter the MENU
  4. Select FACTORY RESET
  5. Scroll down to FACTORY

For 2n07 models, you do not need to enter the menu once it is powered on, simply press the - button.

There is a fair amount of chance involved in receiving a Dell TFT since many of the models can feature a number of different panels, depending on stock availability and build cost. For example, the recent 2007FP and 2007WFP can feature either an LG.Philips S-IPS panel, or a Samsung S-PVA panel. More information here

Connectors
