SPAIN’S David Etxebarria won today’s 12th stage of the Tour de France as race leader Lance Armstrong held onto the yellow jersey.
Etxebarria completed the 201.50km (126 miles) stage between Saint Galmier to Saint Flour in four hours, 53 minutes and 50 seconds.
Etxebarria made his move on the approach to the final climb, attacking around 12.5 miles from the finishing line.
