Dania Beach is a city located in Broward County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 20,061.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which is located between Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood, Florida, is located in Dania Beach.
The first city in Broward County dating back to the 1880's. Starting as a settlement called Modello, it was incorporated in November, 1904. Most of the 35 residents were of Danish ancestry, and they changed the name of the town to Dania.

The racial makeup of the city is 70.14% White, 23.74% African American, 0.30% Native American, 1.39% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 2.27% from other races, and 2.14% from two or more races. 12.01% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
