Cowboy Curtis was a character from the highly popular "children's show", Pee-wee's Playhouse. The role was an African-American cowboy from the Old West, living in modern times. Cowboy Curtis was played by Laurence Fishburne. Pee-wees Playhouse was a half-hour CBS USA TV Saturday morning childrens show starring Pee-wee Herman (played by Paul Reubens) that aired from September 13, 1986 until 1991 and was enormously popular with both children and adults. ...
