In Indian English, a chowk is a place where paths intersect. Usually a chowk is named where four or more paths intersect. In Mumbai however, even three paths are known as a chowk. Some famous chowks of India include the Chandni Chowk in Delhi, and Hutatma Chowk in Mumbai.
