Childwall is dominated by the "Childwall Fiveways", a large roundabout that is one of the busiest in Liverpool. Housing is almost entirely detached or semi-detached; there are very few terraces within Childwall. The area's pleasant greenery in abundance and range of large houses makes it one of Liverpool's most sought-after suburbs. Although Childwall Hall has been covered on part 4 of the Childwall 'Tour', I (the WebMaster) was recently contacted by a member of Lime Productions to ask if I would like to view the area as this was once the 'footprint' of Childwall Hall.
With access from Childwall Woods, the rear of the wall throws up many more puzzles as to why it is there and what it was originally used for.
There is a set of sandstone blocks which form the entrance to the other side of the stable yard and in the background of the first picture, one can see a bricked up doorway leading to the outer wall of the stable yard.
