Charles Kerfeld is a former Major League Baseballrelief pitcher. Most of his career, and indeed his better seasons, was spent with the Houston Astros. He had a career year in 1986, posting an 11-2 record and a 2.69 ERA as the setup man for closer Dave Smith. His performance was one of the many reasons the Astros won the National League Western Division title that season. Kerfeld finished his career with the Atlanta Braves.
