Synopsis

Rakesh (Abhishek Bachchan) is a small-town boy who dreams big. He leaves the small town where he grew up for the bright lights of Lucknow. There he meets Vimmi Saluja (Rani Mukerji), who has come from her own small town pursuing dreams of becoming a supermodel. They cooperate to con a man who has cheated Rakesh, and discover that they can succeed -- as con artists. They adopt new names (Bunty and Babli), and become famous for their audacious schemes. Things get complicated when Babli becomes pregnant and wants to give up their life of crime, following a narrow escape from the police. However, DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) Dashrath Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), is hot on their trail. Will they turn legit? Can they evade the law? All ends well, not without some surprising twists.

Music

The music of Bunty Aur Babli was written by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics were provided by Gulzar. There are total number of six songs in the film. Alisha Chinai, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Udit Narayan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nihira Joshi, Sonu Nigam, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Sowmya Raoh, Loy Mendonsa, Sukhwinder Singh, Jaspinder Narula and Blaaze were selected as singers.
