Encyclopedia > Bulldog Turner

Clyde Douglas (Bulldog) Turner (March 10, 1919 in Plains, Texas, USA - October 30, 1998) was a professional football player for the Chicago Bears.

Turner, coming out of Hardin-Simmons University, was the Bears first round draft pick in the 1940 draft. But, at first at least, Turner didn't want to be on the Bears.
