The Big Xtra is a McDonald's fast food sandwich that was released in 1999 and became a regular menu item until replaced in 2001 by the smaller Big N' Tasty. It included a three-eigths pound beef patty, sesame seed bun, lettuce, tomato slice, mayonnaise dressing, ketchup, chopped onions, three pickle slices, optional American cheese and a special grill seasoning only used on the Big Xtra.
