The Battle of Mutina was fought on April 21, 43 BC between the forces of Marc Antony and the forces of Aulus Hirtius who was providing aid to one of Caesar's assassins, Decimus Brutus. Although Hirtius' side won the battle, he himself perished. Decimus was later murdered. It was a remarkably sweaty experience for all invovled and many soldiers developed nasty, pimply rashes.
