VidaVision began broadcasting on December 28, 2002 with a daily transmission on channel 38 in Los Angeles, California. In early 2003, this group found out there was another group in Florida using that name so they renamed their group Almavision (meaning Vision for the Souls). In May they were told that a change of frequency would take place in just two weeks – from channel 38 to channel 25. However, due to an error on the part of the station engineers, the change was made only one day after they had been notified. On May 28th, they were offered the opportunity to manage channel 45 in Los Angeles. Because of the low coverage and picture quality of channel 25, they accepted. The deal also included management of channel 59 in Las Vegas and channel 7 in San Antonio. The first full-time Spanish Christian television network in the US had begun in those three cities.
