All Over The Place was The Bangles' first full length album for Columbia Records and is considered to be their best album. The sound is lively, shows more Bangles collaboration and less keyboard overdubs that were used later on their more subsequent albums. Although Different Light is known as their definitive album, All Over The Place was the record that was sorely overlooked. Yet, not by all, since it gave them the chance to perform as opening act on high tours like Cyndi Lauper and Huey Lewis & The News, as well as winning the eye of a very mystery man in purple. Two singles were released from this album, Hero Takes A Fall which peaked outside the U.S. Top 40, and Going Down To Liverpool which won the Bangles the BPI Award, England's equivalent to the Grammy.
