Ail (or "Alan" in the English dub) is a fictional character appearing at the beginning of the second, or 'R' season of Sailor Moon. He first appears in Episode 47. Some time after the defeat of the Dark Kingdom, two aliens appeared on Earth along with their Makaiju, or Doom Tree. Their mission was to collect energy for the evil plant so that it could continue to thrive and give them regenative energy. To do this, they chose the life energy of humans, which they collected through their Cardian creatures and fed to their Makaiju. The two took on disguises so that they could move about in Tokyo without suspiscion. Ail took on the perona of Ginga, Seijuurou and lived his with "sister" in the Juuban Odyessy Apartments. He attended Juuban Junior High School and developed a crush on Usagi. He constantly tried to win Usagi over, much to En's dislike. In the end, he discovered what it truly meant to love someone and he and An took the Makaiju sapling with them back into space where they could start over. The two aliens' names, Ail and En, combine to sound like "alien". The two kanji used for the surname ginga mean Galaxy in this case. For the given name, the first kanji sei means star, the second juu means ten and the last rou is a counter for sons.


He is portrayed in voice by Hikaru Midorikawa, who also voiced Fiore in the Sailormoon R movie. Hikaru Midorikawa (緑川 光 Midorikawa Hikaru; born May 2, 1968 in Tochigi) is a popular voice actor (seiyū) in Japan. ...
