Aermacchi will participate in most of the important meetings including some of the classics, in Italy and abroad, in order to provide further data to enable Alfredo Bianchi to improve still further his over-the-counter racers.
Aermacchi is so far the only Italian factory which has successfully followed this policy and, in doing so, made a great contribution to motorcycle sport throughout the world.
His major accomplishments were the acquisition of SIAI Marchetti, the development of the company civil business, the building of the new factory in Venegono and the launch of the M-346 programme.
Under the leadership of Giorgio Brazzelli, Alenia Aermacchi was able to return to profitability and embarked on a negotiation with Finmeccanica which led to the acquisition of the company by this Group in 2003.
Massimo Lucchesini was born in 1947 and studied aeronautical engineering at the University of Pisa, graduating in 1971.
