The 1987 World Series (the Series on the Mississippi) was played from October 17 to October 25 between the Minnesota Twins and the St.
The 1987 Series was remarkable in several regards: It featured the first World Series game played in an indoor stadium (the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome), and was the first World Series in which all games were won by the home team.
It would be the logo for the 1988, 1990 and 1991 World Series.

The first game of the 1989 World Series was played on October 14 at the Oakland Coliseum, the home field of the Oakland Athletics.
On the 100 Years of the World Series DVD, Tim McCarver, who was working as a broadcaster for ABC, incorrectly says that ABC started their coverage of the Earthquake Game at "Five O'Clock Eastern Time" (as opposed to "Five O'Clock San Francisco Time").
